What started as Stanislaw Kowalski's one-man carpentry shop in 1996 has grown into a workshop of fifteen skilled craftsmen. The philosophy remains unchanged: use the best materials, employ proper techniques, and never rush the work.
Today, Stanislaw's grandson Jakub leads the design team, blending contemporary aesthetics with the joinery methods his grandfather taught him. Every piece still passes through the hands of a master craftsman before leaving our workshop.
We source timber exclusively from sustainable Polish forests, primarily from the Bialowieza and Bieszczady regions. Each plank is kiln-dried in our facility for six to twelve months before use, ensuring stability and preventing warping over decades of use.
Our primary species include Polish oak, European walnut, ash, and cherry. We also work with reclaimed barn wood for clients seeking character pieces with visible history in the grain.
We refuse particleboard, MDF with veneer facades, and imported softwoods that cannot withstand daily use. If the material does not meet our standards, we source alternatives rather than compromise the finished piece.
Hand-cut dovetail joints remain our standard for drawer construction. Mortise and tenon connections secure table legs and chair frames. These joints do not rely on glue or hardware alone—they interlock mechanically, distributing stress across the wood grain.
We supplement hand tools with precision machinery where it improves consistency without sacrificing quality. CNC routing handles complex curves and repeated patterns, while final fitting and finishing remain manual processes under experienced eyes.
